UPDATE: March 23, 2020.

A Message from our General Manager:

I am writing to advise that all AU Sport Clubs are required to temporarily shut down due to Federal Government orders as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

All AU Sport clubs must suspend operations effective immediately. I am unaware at this stage when clubs will be permitted to re-open but I will keep you updated as the situation evolves.

I have requested that all clubs complete the following:

Provide notification of closure on your website and social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc).

Notify all of club members of the shutdown.

Communication with you during shut down:
AU Sport will continue to maintain contact with you during this time via email and our Facebook page. Please stay tuned for regular updates and information as it becomes available.

It will be vital to our health that we all stay active. We have set up a series of Uni Moves Challenges via our Adelaide Uni Moves app to encourage our community remain in good health. The challenges are open to all members and there are some great prizes to be won.

Support:
Sport plays an integral role in creating positive, active and socially connected communities. This is an unprecedented and difficult time. We understand the impact the shutdown will have on our clubs. If you have any concerns during the shutdown period, please do not hesitate to contact me via email. We encourage our members to:
- Follow recommendations from their relevant State or National Sporting Organisation where applicable.
- Maintain good personal hygiene standards such as washing hands frequently and / or using hand sanitiser.
- Avoid sharing of personal items such as sporting and protective equipment, drink bottles and towels.
- Avoid attending trainings and club events if experiencing respiratory symptoms as a precaution and get assessed for contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19 or who has recently travelled overseas.
