Wasn't Sunday a great day! The sun was out, the weather was warm and ANZAC Highway was swarming with our biggest City-Bay team yet - 371 runners, walkers and rollers!

Our two fastest runners, Rebecca Thomson (48:03) and Tim Earle (41:36), completed the full length 12km race with impressive times. However, for most, the day is not about being the fastest but beating your own goals and enjoying the experience (if you can - we know the 10km mark is a killer!). All reports from those, who attended the Fitness Hub City-Bay Boot Camp sessions, said the training really did help them in the race and they know that they have the fitness to keep going. For some, the day may have just been about enjoying a lovely 3km stroll with friends and taking in the atmosphere.

There were a number of University of Adelaide and AU Sport photographers scattered along the course capturing as many images of the day. Did we spot you? You can have a look at all the photos on the AU Sport Facebook page.

At the end of the race, volunteers from the AU Hockey Club helped people collect their bags and members from UofA Community Relations, Guide Dogs SA NT and Gus the Lion welcomed team members to the post-Race Uni Hub. This was a much needed chill out and recovery station based on Wigley Reserve. It was a great spot for team members to enjoy a free feed and drink while they waited for friends and family to finish the race.

This is a great event that AU Sport and UofA Community Relations really do enjoy providing as it brings the whole University Community together. From students, staff, the VC, Alumni, Sport Club members and volunteers, it is great to see everyone getting involved. Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time on the day to assist in a successful day.

A special thank you to all our team sponsors and supporters. Without the ongoing support from Westpac and Team Nelson, the University and AU Sport would not be able to support such a large team! Also, thank you to Blaax, a great SA company, which has supported the team for the second year in a row and provided us with $500 worth of prizes including a watch each for our two fastest runners.

The Fitness Hub came on board as our Training Partner for the first time and provide weekly boot camp training and access to the on campus gym. All those involved from the boot Camp trainers - Sheridan and Rachel - to the team members all enjoyed the training.

Finally, thank you to GrassRoots, the Australian Institute of Fitness and Bounce which have also added value to this year's team package.
