About Touch:
Touch football is a game played by both sexes, all ages and all levels of fitness. Originally designed as a training game for Rugby, it follows a similar format, with two teams of 6 players attempting to score touchdowns by placing the ball over the opposition's try line. The attacking team gains ground by running forward with ball and/or passing to each other, which can only occur in a backwards direction. It differs from Rugby in that tackling is replaced by simply touching the player. There is also no kicking of the ball, line-outs or scrums.

About the AU Touch Club
The Adelaide University Touch Club is the largest Touch Club in South Australia, and is an affiliate of Touch SA. We welcome new members, especially those who have never played touch before. Touch is a sport that is played all year round, and we enter both mixed and single-sex teams.

During Winter we have teams playing on Monday or Thursday nights  at the City Touch grounds near the corner of Greenhill and Fullarton Roads. We train on Wednesday evenings on the University Sports grounds just opposite the University footbridge. During Summer the club runs a mixed competition on Thursday night at the Waite Oval on Claremont Avenue, and also enters single sex teams in the Tuesday night competition at City Touch.

Team Fees are currently $75 per competition for City Touch Competitions and $50 for Waite Touch Competitions. There is also a $10 annual membership fee, and a $66 Sports Association fee for players who are not students of Adelaide University and $44 sports association fee for players who are students at Adelaide University.
