The following recommendation for the award of a blue in 2008.

A “blue” is the highest sporting distinction which can be awarded by the University of Adelaide.  It is awarded in recognition of outstanding ability in a particular sport. 

A blue is only awarded to a member of the Sports Association.

To be awarded a blue, a nominee must satisfy both

  1. The Sports Associations’ requirements common to all clubs (“the common requirements”), and
  2. His/her club’s guidelines  (“the club’s guidelines”)

The common requirements are set out in regulations to the Sports Association’s constitution.  They are contained in the appendix to this nomination form.

The club’s guidelines are those which have been approved by the Sports Association.  Copies of them are available from the Sports Association’s office.  They are changed from time to time.
