The Adelaide University Boat Club, representing 'Australian Universities' at the Trans Tasman Regatta in New Zealand, has defeated an eights crew comprising representatives from all New Zealand Universities, two races to one during a week of intensive racing.
Adelaide won the last race by two lengths to take home the Trans Tasman trophy. It was tough going, with a clash of blades about halfway through the race spurring the team to push away from the Kiwi crew in the end. Lucy Hyde, a University Blue last year, did a great job coxing the crew.
