In a show of support for the Board, the General meeting on 30 October unanimously approved the new AUSA Constitution. It now goes before the University Council for final endorsement.
The Constitution has been comprehensively modernised, both in its wording and its format (you can obtain a copy via the policies tab at top of the website front page). The Board structure and method of appointing the President and Deputy President have been amended, together with the voting academy for General meetings. A new disputes clause, with an appeal process, has been included for the first time.
At the Council meeting that followed the General meeting, the new Management and Membership policies were adopted, which can also be found under the Policies tab.
