After much consideration, reflection and advice, I would like to formally advise the AUSA that I will be retiring from the Board of Management and thus will not contest the upcoming elections.
It has been almost a decade of my involvement with the Sports Association where we have faced many challenges and changes. These have truly tested the character of the organisation and the great spirits of our countless volunteers. Over this period, it has been most honourable to serve "The Blacks".
I have decided to retire because I believe that it will be of the greatest benefit to the Association and to me. I will continue to be involved with Adelaide University Sports through my relationship to numerous clubs, events and projects. I cannot thank enough all the people who, over the years, have mentored me and kept me honest.
I will see my term through until May. It is my strong conviction that the Adelaide University Sports Association will continue to grow and inevitably be placed where it deserves to be at the centre of academic life - just like at our very early beginning 114 years ago.
Yours in Sports
Andrés Munoz-Lamilla
